Job Description:
Our client is a leading global investment and securities firm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Build custom and generic JavaScript components extending the ExtJS product, and implement dynamic, rich and interactive components in Java using the Portal AJAX framework.
Set and follow quality standards for software development.
Identify problems and suggest improvements in existing software.
Design and plan software development projects.
Assist in deploying and testing software into runtime environments.
Suggest improvements to the existing software development process.
Work well with a team of developers.
Experience Level:
5+ Years
Requirements:
Tools/Technologies/Skills/Experience:
3+ years of experience in JavaScript development: (Required).
4+ years of experience in Server side Java development: (Required).
Experience in Threading and Synchronization: (Required).
Experience in software internationalization: (Required).
Experience designing and developing large-scale Web Applications: (Required).
Experience with Java web technologies: Servlets, Struts, JSP, Taglibs and Velocity: (Required).
Experience with Object Oriented Development: (Required).
Experience with build systems (Ant, Maven) and source control (CVS): (Required).
Experience with Relational DB: (Required).
Experience with Sybase: (Desirable).
