Job Responsibilities:
· Work with Investment Management Director and Portfolio Manager to provide governance for the enhancement of business information systems that align with the strategic goals of US IS and the US Business.
· Serves as the responsible party for sourcing work requests through effective use of resource management policies and procedures. Working in close collaboration with other Resource Managers, takes responsibility for optimizing the utilization of available internal and external resources to ensure the best overall use of US IS's investment in human capital. Works closely with third party vendors supplying external resources to ensure highest priority work is addressed.
· Develops and executes plans for addressing current resource gaps, and builds strategies for assessing and addressing emerging skills that will play a pivotal role in the future.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Investment Management team:
- Support effective prioritization and scheduling of IS resources to deliver high quality solutions that address business priorities
- Ensure effective operation and governance of IS resource management processes
- Responsible for identifying resources to deliver on organizational goals and priorities
- Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of scheduled resource activities, and make this information readily available for decision making
- Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of resource skills and capabilities for future resource allocation
- Responsible for balancing allocation of resources across new demand as well as resource changes demanded by inflight projects
- Accountable for adherence to resource management processes and practices
- Suggest improvements and drive ongoing efficiencies in resource management
- Responsible for establishing and growing resource information base in a manner that allows it to integrate and support the overall needs of Investment Management and US IS Governance
- Work closely with Resource Manager peers to ensure best utilization of available resources across the whole of US IS, especially for small, medium, and large projects
As a resource manager aligned to a particular resource segment (either internally aligned and/or
through a third party vendor):
- Responsible for leading the prioritization of work assigned to third parties as per the terms and conditions of contractual agreements, working closely with Solutions Delivery and Global Shared Services in delivering on these ad-hoc requests
- Responsible for the allocation of technical resources aligned with business priorities as agreed by governance forums
- Responsible for ensuring the available resource pool has the right skills and capabilities to meet current and future business needs, and working in partnership with IS colleagues in Solutions Delivery and Architecture to identify and address gaps
- Responsible for the publication/communication of resource utilization information
- Responsible for the management and tracking of requests for flex services as defined in certain third party contracts
- Responsible for negotiating utilization of third party resources across the spectrum of adhoc, small, medium, and large size projects to meet agreed governance prioritization.
Resource Planning and Management
· Use internal resources effectively across resource pool
· Effectively prioritize work for external resources
· Provide input into the development of business cases.
· Work with Solutions Delivery to review resource requests for prioritization
· Participate in release management planning process
· Develop sourcing solutions for emerging needs
Partnership & Collaboration
· Coordinate with Management of Third Party Vendors
· Coordinate with IS organizations, including Global Shared Services and Global Technical Operations
· Participate in Solutions Delivery functional meetings where appropriate
· Work closely with Investment Management team members, including peer Resource Managers
