Job Description:
SENIOR SALES EXECUTIVE ? PHOTONICS PRODUCTS

Industrial Inspection

Intevac Photonics, a world leader in designing and manufacturing innovative and high performance photonic instrumentation in the form of Raman spectroscopy and high speed digital cameras is seeking a top performing sales executive to manage sales to end user and OEM and customers in the Industrial Inspection markets in North America.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

? Develop and close sales of Intevac Photonic products (cameras and spectroscopy equipment) to end user and OEM customers in the Industrial Inspection markets throughout North America.
? Activities include lead generation, account qualification, closing business, product demonstrations, pre and post sales support requirements as needed by the customer.
? Provide accurate forecasts of bookings and sales revenue in the current quarter along with longer range forecasting.
? Maintain comprehensive understanding of competition in assigned sales territory and formulate strategies on how to succeed.
? Identify and develop a list of key accounts along with strategic and tactical business plans which will act as a roadmap to success.
? Prepare, deliver, and close quotations.
? Provide first level technical support for customers and prospects with assistance from the applications engineering group.
? This is a customer facing role which will require developing strong working relationships with top management levels at prospects; demonstrated success in using a strategic sales process will be required.

Experience Level:
5+ Years

Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

? BS/MS degree in physics, chemistry, engineering.
? Minimum of 10 years of successful sales experience to the Industrial Inspection and OEM markets.
? Demonstrated skills in developing long term customer relationships.
? Proven ability to qualify real sales opportunities is required.
? Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
? Comfortable with engaging and working with ?C? level or VP of engineering, manufacturing, marketing, business development, program management at major clients.
? Successful track record in selling photonic or imaging products is required.
? Ability to comprehend and match customer?s product technical specifications to Intevac?s product offerings.
? Confident, highly motivated, creative, team player that has the ability to work and produce results working in a remote office.
? Extensive travel, must live in a major US metropolitan area with close proximity to an airport.
? US citizenship or proof of ability to work in the US
? Outstanding verbal and presentation skills
