Job Description:
We are looking for Data Modeler with ERwin experience.
1. Strong understanding of the differences between Conceptual, Logical and Physical data modeling concepts.
2. Very Strong skills with Microsoft Visio and Computer Associates ERwin Data Modeler
3. Basic SQL skills to be able to understand existing database tables, columns and relationships.
4. Basic SQL skills to be able to query databases to understand the data within them.
Strong interpersonal and verbal skills to conduct interview and review sessions and build consensus.
8yrs (2+ years in creating, reviewing and refining, through interviews and reviews logical data models. )
Responsibilities:
1. Interview MSIT teams members in Redmond, India and China to understand existing applications, requirements and processes.
2. Develop a deep understanding of existing solutions and how they are used.
3. Create conceptual and logical data models that adhere to MSIT data modeling standards and guidelines (attached)
4. Review and refine the models with the MSIT teams. Build consensus around data structures and educate audience on data modeling.
5. Imbed and integrate into the software development teams to keep the models up to date with requirements and specifications so that model updates are published and reviewed in advance of physical design implementation.
6. Work with the solution program manager to integrate the data models into the review and sign off of Business Requirement and Functional / Specifications
