Job Description:
Provide IT support to the Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Justice Programs (OJP) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This project is a core asset to OJP?s crime control and victim assistance mission and their goal to become a Federal grant Center of Excellence. OJP is responsible for a grants management system and several ancillary grant and financial systems and interfaces, administering $8 billion annually. SRA is the prime on this 95-person project, including nine subcontractor teams. The SRA team performs unit and system integration testing (SIT) prior to release to Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) contractor for Functional Quality Testing (FQT). Testers are matrixed from Leverage Team to numerous projects within two business units. Projects include large-scale software development and systems integration, as well as operations & maintenance (O&M). Systems include web applications hosted in three-tier environment and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) integration.
Seeking a mid to senior-level Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience. Candidate must be able to work independently: will receive only minimal guidance and must be able to hit the ground running. Individual should have a strong grasp of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and the principles, theories, methodologies and industry best practices of system testing and CMMI-3. Strong quantitative and analytical skills required, and an interest in developing creative solutions.
Develop test cases and scripts and conduct testing for complex systems and subsystems. Develop automated test scripts for regression testing using Mercury WinRunner and QTP. Employ system analysis techniques to translate software-level use case requirements specification into test cases, both automated and manual. Test on application sever and backend layer. Generate problem and change reports and ensure corrective actions are taken. Create/maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) in TestDirector. May occasionally have to help out writing requirements (software use case specifications).

Position requires interaction with a variety of individuals in roles of varying seniority, including IV&V contractor and government customers. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required; must enjoy working in teams. Must have demonstrated professional maturity and the ability to work in a high-stress environment under aggressive deadlines, which are commonplace on this project.

? Experience testing with technologies such as AJAX, HTML, CSS, J2EE, SOA, Oracle
? Hands on experience with SQL (developing queries for data validation and creation)
? Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, ksh, awk, etc.)
? Java, J2EE, C++, or VBS or other programming background is desired
? Experience with object-oriented programming and design is desired
? CVS and PVCS Tracker experience is desired
