Job Description: We are currently recruiting an Oracle Applications Technical Architect to be an expert that understands the technical aspects of Oracle Applications Suite in great depth, specifically 10g and Apps 11i. Understand the technology workspace in terms of current state, future possibilities, forthcoming technologies and their relevance and impact. The focus in this area is on how organizational objectives affect technical choices. Own and maintain the longer term roadmap combining technology, business and organization. Communicate the vision and roadmap, options and tradeoffs via white papers, presentations and workshops. Where the rest of the team working on an individual projects are focused primarily on the concerns of that project, The Technical Architect is focused on the bigger picture across multiple projects and strategy to guide all projects to meet the company's wider objectives and long-term goals.
Experience Required:
Architect Scalable and High Availability Solutions for large databases with heavy transaction and batch activities. Review project requests describing application user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish them. Provide technical specifications for application enhancements resulting from process improvement activities. Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to current systems, such as the installation of new databases and instances. In-depth knowledge of the entire Oracle Applications environment and architecture. Strong technical expertise and functional exposure to Oracle eBusiness Suite (11i). Experience in Veritas, RAC, Load Balancer, RMAN, Data Guard implementations. Capacity and Scalability Planning and Database physical design. Disaster planning/mitigation/recovery. Develop standards and guidelines to guide infrastructure strategy. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information and advice for upper management. Results oriented. Good prioritization and organizational skills. Experience and understanding of working with multiple IT teams. (Servers, Infrastructure, DBA, UNIX, Support, Development). Ability to work effectively and build consensus with Oracle team members across the organization. Ability to develop documentation, white papers, and presentations to all levels of management and technical staff.
Education Required:
Bachelors Degree in Computer and Sciences or related fields. 4+ Experience in working with Oracle database technologies. 4+ years experience of both functional and technical knowledge in supporting Oracle e-Business Suite in an enterprise setting
