Our client in Southern California is seeking an In-Process Inspector to performs visual, mechanical and some electrical Inprocess and final inspection, and assure compliance to company specification.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Visual inspection of mechanical assembly of Printed Circuit Boards, components and sub-assemblies to chassis, cabinets, drawers & module assemblies, including wire routing & labeling, wire wrapping, wires soldered to terminals, wire crimping & lugging, & hardware stack-up for adherence to established workmanship criteria & drawing
- Compare Work Order against Inspection package and unit for correct part number, drawings, revisions, required Authorization and Change Order.
- Assists Inprocess Inspectors A and B.
- Complete daily inspection records as required, Engineering Change - Request, Planning Change Request, Material Discrepancy Report and Rework Tags.
- Perform workmanship, Calibration, Product, Process and Test Surveillance and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
1. Must be familiar with solder requirements (ANSI/J-STD-1B), IPC-A- 610 D Class 2, ESD (Electrostatic Discharge)
2. Must be able to interpret & follow Blue Prints/Drawings, Parts lists, Procedures, Engineering Change Orders (EOs), Work Orders, Work Instructions
3. At least 2 years experience in MIL Standard background
4. Must have experience performing mechanical and dimensional inspection using scales, micrometer and calipers
5. Must be knowledgeable of assembly practices and requirements with detail orientated skills a must.
6. Must pass a workmanship and print reading test.
7. Must be able to easily lift 25-30 lbs.
8. A.A. or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
9. Must be a U.S. Citizen

COMPENSATION/COMMENTS:

APR Medical/Dental Benefits package, 401k plan, etc.. - benefits available shortly into this contract (30+ days - starting with the 1st of the following month of the start date).

If an offer is made, a reference check, education verification, druge test, and criminal background check will be conducted. Candidate must be able to pass all screenings to be hired.
