Our client in El Monte is seeking a Sr. DB2 Administrator that has successfully migrated to DB2 V8 subsystem with success, and who understands the methodology and planning efforts for a such migration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installation and migration of DB2 subsystems to Version 8.
- Applying DB2 PTF?s and PUT levels.
- Install fixes to DB2 connect on an AIX platform.
- Install and test DB2 related program products (DB2 Tools, Omegamon for DB2, RACF).
- Responsible for the installation and migration of DB2 subsystems.
- Primary support for system installations, maintenance, and system configurations.

Requirements:
1. This position will require 24 x 7 on-call rotational support duties.
2. Must be able to coordinate with multiple development teams and software vendors on issues resolution, and remediation efforts.
3. Must be able to do root cause analysis of problems and provide solutions.
4. On-call support for the system and application DB2 impacts.
5. Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship or transfer of sponsorship
