This is for a large automotive manufacturing company in the Torrance, CA area.
Job Duties:
? As a member of a centralized Testing Center of Excellence, provide hands-on technical and analytical expertise in all the phases of automated testing to a variety of projects and application areas with varying size, complexity and testing expertise.
? Consult with projects on the benefits and cost of automated performance and functional testing; provide effective alternatives.
? Assist in defining and documenting practices and standards for automated and manual testing.
? Develop processes, templates, standards and documentation for the rollout of automated functional testing to application areas.
? Develop automated test tool presentations and training materials; give presentations, and conduct classes and workshops to promote test automation.
? Provide technical support for HP Testing tools including software upgrades, problem troubleshooting and resolution.
? Assist in defining and documenting practices and standards for other aspects of quality assurance

Requirements:
Required Skills:
1. Candidate must have 7+ years dedicated Quality Assurance related experience across the application development lifecycle. This experience must have been full-time role, not part of application development project.
2. Part of the 7 years of experience must include a minimum of 5 years technical experience with HP (formerly Mercury) testing tools including Quality Center (Test Director), LoadRunner, and QuickTest Pro (QTP).
3. Must have Foundation HP skills, including QTP/QC ? Visual Basic scripting; Load Running is similar to C scripting.
4. Must have experience with formal testing methodologies & rigorous test processes is a must.
5. Must have hands-on experience and technical expertise in all phases of performance testing with LoadRunner including test strategy development, test plan construction, script design, construction/recording, execution (including monitoring) and results analysis/documentation is required.
6. Must have hands-on experience in automation of functional test scripts using QuickTest Pro including initial automation evaluation, design, recording/construction, execution, and results analysis is required
7. Must have hands-on experience with Quality Center including server installation and software upgrades, problem troubleshooting and resolution, project customization and administration is required.
8. Must have experience in trouble shooting performance problems and performance tuning is desirable.
9. Experience developing standards and processes for other aspects of QA is desirable.
10. Must have excellent verbal & written skills; experience giving presentations and conducting training is highly desirable.
11. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
12. Candidate must be a resourceful, proactive, detail oriented, self-starter; able to work alone & as a team player in a dynamic environment with multiple tasks & deadlines.
11. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to qualify. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. - cannot sponsor H1-B Visa.

COMPENSATION/COMMENTS:
$42-$46+ /per hour - plus APR Medical/Dental Benefits package, 401k plan, etc.. - benefits available shortly into this contract (30+ days - starting with the 1st of the following month of the start date).
