Our client in San Diego, CA is seeking a Sr. Electro-Mechanical Designer with Thermal Design experience for a 5 month contract beginning immediately.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting a hardware engineering team in the mechanical design and thermal modeling of small form factor electronic systems
- Mechanical design of enclosures, test fixtures, and detailed electronics packages using SolidWorks modeling software
- Create designs with appropriate dimonsiioning, tolerancing, and part finishes as well as generate fabrication and assembly drawings of components and assemblies

Requirements:
1. Experience designing and drafting electronic assemblies, enclosures, and electronics packaging
2. Experience with electronics system thermal design, modeling, and form-factor thermal evaluation
3. Experience with thermal analysis and simulation of electronic systems
4. Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software
5. Experience with Thermal design
6. Experience with CAM software
7. Knowledge and hands-on skills in the electronic industry with exposure to manufacturing processes
8. Must be a US CITIZEN with an ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE to qualify - unable to sponsor Visas at this time
COMPENSATION/COMMENTS:
$40/hr (DOE) - Plus APR Medical/Dental Benefits package, 401k plan, etc.. - benefits available shortly into this contract (30+ days - starting with the 1st of the following month of the start date).
If an offer is made, a 7 year criminal background check and drug screen will be conducted. Candidate must be pass all screenings to be hired.
