Job Description:
Qualitek Services has an immediate 6 months + contract opening for a Defense Red Switch Networks (DRSN) Technician (4274-1560) in Schriever AFB, ( Colorado Springs ) CO.
REQUIRED SKILLS
****Must be a US Citizen DoD Top Secret
Must have a security clearance or the ability to obtain one****
Candidate must have a High School diploma with 3 - 4 years experience in communications-electronics operations and maintenance support. They will be qualified and proficient in Operations & Maintenance of communications-electronics equipment. Good communication skills are mandatory, as well as the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors. Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a current DoD Top Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Preferred Experience: Experience should focus on Defense Red Switch network equipment including the ability to troubleshoot to circuit card level and customer service for the Department of Defense.
Experience with Air Force communication systems / networks and mission control centers at Schriever AFB is highly desirable. Knowledge of the Raytheon Secure Digital Switch (SDS) or Digital Small Switch (DSS) and fiber optic communication networks is also desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The DRSN Technician performs corrective/preventive maintenance actions and documentation on Defense Red Switch Network equipment. Enters maintenance actions into the Integrated Maintenance Database System (IMDS). Performs additional duties as assigned.
Pay Rate: $22.75/hr MAX DOE
