Job Description: Albin Engineering Services, Inc. (www.aesi.com) is seeking an expert in Phased Array Aperture Design Engineering for a full-time position with a leading aerospace company, working on-site at their Boulder, CO facility. Candidates must be eligible to for a Government Security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Job Description:
- This will be a principal position requiring antenna RF engineering as its area of specialization. - Antenna RF engineering will include antenna element and antenna-related component design and development supporting phased array programs. - Consists of antenna requirement evaluation, initial concept trade-off and development, in-house and customer presentations, new business proposal and pursuit support. Occasional travel. - This person will be responsible for the hands-on design and realization of state-of-the-art antennas, as well as the mentoring and guidance of junior-level engineers and technicians in the design, build, and test phases. - This person is expected to be a focal point for antenna RF design. - This person would be recognized as an expert in one or more technical fields and would have the flexibility to work on more than one program at a time. - Will develop advanced technological concepts and guide his or her development into a final product. - Will work under only consultative direction and will often initiate his or her own assignments. - This person would work on unusually complex problems and would provide innovative solutions. - This person would lead group discussions with exceptional communication skills and would serve as an organizational spokesperson to customers and management alike.
Job Requirements:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred, plus 12 or more years experience. - Ability to apply existing advanced technical principles and theories and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. - Must be effective in working with people at all levels including customers and provide internal leadership and guidance. - In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered. Each higher level degree, Masters, etc., may substitute for two years of experience. - Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. - Desired skills include experience with the design and fabrication of all types of antennas, the application of design tools such as Microstripes and HFSS, and the ability to organize and lead a technical team.
