Job Description:
Albin Engineering Services, Inc. (www.aesi.com) is seeking a Senior Phased Array Aperature Design Engineer for a full-time position with a leading aerospace company, working on-site at their Boulder, CO facility. Candidates must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government Security clearance and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Job Description:

- Senior position specializing in RF electronics engineering.
- This will include both antenna-related and communications/radar system-related RF electronics design and development along with new-business support.
- This is expected to consist of requirement evaluation, initial concept trade-off and development, in-house and customer presentations, travel, and proposal technical writing and cost/schedule estimating.
- Will be responsible for the hands-on design and realization of state-of-the-art designs as well as subcontractor guidance and the mentoring of junior-level engineers and technicians in the design, build, and test phases and be a focal point for RF electronics design and new-business activities.
- Will develop advanced technological concepts and guide their development into a final product.
- Will work under only consultative direction and will often initiate his or her own assignments, and work on unusually complex problems and provide innovative solutions.

Experience Level:
5+ Years

Requirements:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred, plus 8 or more years experience.
- Ability to apply existing advanced technical principles and theories and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts and is recognized as an expert in one or more technical fields and would have the flexibility to work on more than one program at a time.
- Must be effective in working with people at all levels including customers and in providing internal leadership and guidance.
- Must be able to lead group discussions with exceptional communication skills and serve as an organizational spokesperson to customers and management alike.
- Desired skills include experience with the design and fabrication of amplifiers, phase shifters, filters, receiver electronics, exciter electronics, etc. and the ability to organize and lead a technical team.
- In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered. Each higher level degree, Masters, etc., may substitute for two years of experience.
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government Security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
