ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY
Candidate will participate in all levels of software design and development in support of Card Technology and Information Services Division projects using J2EE architecture and Object Oriented Design principles.
Will perform full systems life cycle development on one or more various web applications in support of the Card Technologies and Identity Solutions division of DMDC. These web applications are written in Java using Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) technologies. They also utilize technologies such as web services, the object-relational mapping tools TopLink & iBATIS, and public key infrastructure (PKI) technologies.
The developer will participate in the system design, Java development and implementation.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
* Must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining an IT-II clearance.
* Bachelors Degree (computer science, information systems major preferred.)
* Strong communication skills.
* Must have minimum 3 years experience in full systems life cycle application software development
* Proven ability to analyze and design applications using an object oriented approach and UML.
* 3 + years experience developing Java applications on the J2EE platform.
* 3 + years experience developing applications on Windows 2000/XP and Solaris Experience in object oriented analysis and design
* Experience with Web Services (JAX-RPC) is a plus.
* Experience with Java Swing GUI development is a plus.
* Experience with Biometrics is a plus.
* Experience with JNI is a plus.
* Experience with Maven is a plus.
* Experience with CVS version control software and ANT build tool is preferred
* Experience with Oracle TopLink or Apache iBATIS is a plus.
* Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), smart card, or biometric technologies is a plus.
