Position Description :
The USPS Midrange Engineering team is seeking a best value candidate that has enterprise class experience in Systems Administration and Network Security to provide leadership within the Unix Systems Engineering team in midrange security matters including but not limited to: system configuration and hardening, account management, network security and secure infrastructure automation.
Key skills include:
? Expert knowledge of all platforms supported by midrange, including: Solaris, SuSE Linux, Redhat Linux, AIX and VMware ESX.
? Detailed knowledge of applicable security policies and standards, including: USPS AS-805, Sox, and PCI.
? Ability to develop midrange standards to meet USPS policy and business requirements.
? Ability to architect, build and maintain key Unix infrastructure including LDAP, Kerberos and NFS systems.
? Ability to monitor and review industry and USPS security bulletins (CIRT), evaluate risks to USPS midrange systems, and develop recommendations and action plans for management review.
? Knowledge of the USPS NCRB process. Ability to develop midrange network security architecture, create and maintain the midrange NCRB template, and review and make recommendations for application team NCRB requests.
? Ability to design, develop and deploy custom authentication modules required to meet USPS policy.
? Ability to specify requirements for the eAccess midrange module, and develop and maintain backend account management automation to provide a cohesive midrange account management solution.
