We are looking for a Sr. Java Developer for one of our direct end client in Cleveland, OH for a contract assignment to begin ASAP till October 2010 (with a possibility of an extension).

Will be responsible for development & maintenance work for client application. This application is a group of systems currently written in various technologies?mainly Microsoft Access?that will be rewritten as web apps. Tech used for the conversion will include: HTML, JSP, JAVA, JAVA Beans, JavaScripts, STRUTS, OC4J, JDBC, Oracle database, PL/SQL, & UNIX scripts. Must be proficient in Java based web application development. Development & maintenance work in these systems includes: requirements gathering, system analysis/design, documentation, coding, testing, implementation, monitoring production jobs, researching/resolving production problems, dealing with end users and hosting sites to resolve issues, providing technical/functional support to end users.
The candidate must be able to communicate very clearly verbally and in writing in English with a wide variety of personnel including managers, customers, developers, System Administrators, Database Administrators, etc.

Developer (programmer) with proven experience in the following:
-> Oracle database 10g or higher and PL/SQL programming
-> SQL, HTML, JavaScript, JAVA using STRUTS, JSP, JAVA Beans, SQL*Net, ODBC, OC4J, and JDBC
-> UNIX environment and UNIX scripting, FTP/SFTP
Additional Preferred Skillset:

Developer (programmer) with knowledge of, training in, or any level of experience in the following:
-> J-Developer
-> Familiarity with the use of version control tools (such as CVS, PVCS, Subversion)
-> Knowledge of the use of development tools like TOAD or SQL Developer
