Highly motivated oracle database administrator with 5 - 7 experience in Solaris environment with RAC experience. Must have Veritas Cluster/Netbackup Thorough understanding of oracle backup and recovery is required. Experience with NetApp storage snap manager/shadow image/true copy is a plus. Must be able to independently handle technical projects with minimal supervision, by working with other team members. Job requires on-call rotation and after hours support as required.

Requirements:
PREFERRED SKILLS:
? 5+ years of production Oracle DBA experience in Unix (Sun Solaris) environments
? 3+ years of production Oracle DBA experience in Oracle RAC environment
? Experience in Veritas Cluster , NetBackup and SAN technology
? 5+ years hands-on experience with backup and recovery scenarios and technologies
? Experience providing 24x7 on-call support of large high availability production data bases
? Ability to analyze and resolve Oracle systems software, cluster and data base issues from an Oracle systems DBA perspective
? Demonstrated proficiency of troubleshooting techniques and detail-oriented problem diagnosis
? 5+ years experienced in the installation, configuration, patching, upgrading, tuning and ongoing support of Oracle data base systems

Desirable Qualification & skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Experience administrating highly available production databases in a 24x7 datacenter environment
Experience in disaster recovery planning and design is a plus
Experience Netapp Snap manager,
Knowledge of US military organization a plus
Experience with the migration from Oracle 9i and 10g environments
PL/SQL experience
Oracle Certified Associate or Professional
