Job Description:
Contract to Hire position for an experience E/M Assembler with some supervisory background.

1. Lead assembly / test personnel in meeting established production schedules.
a) Prioritize and assign jobs to assembly / test personnel.
b) Supervise assembly / test personnel in their performance to schedule. Initiate actions as necessary (e.g. reassignment, additional resources, overtime, etc.) to ensure schedules are met. Maintain open communications with Production Manager on actions planned and taken.
c) Ensure the use of various visual management boards and other techniques to provide maximum visibility of accurate and up-to-date job status. Maintain job status on the WIP report daily.

2. Coordinate with other group leaders, production manager and other business groups.
a) Coordinate and support with other Group Leaders to ensure customer jobs are completed on time.
b) Attend regular scheduled meetings with all Group Leaders (and other department representatives as required) to ensure the open and effective communications of job requirements, status changes, needs and opportunities.
c) Maintain communications with Production Manager and Sales regarding job status and changes to job status on a daily basis as required.

3. Supervise and Motivate assembly / test personnel
a) Ensure assembly / test personnel under your control are on time and available based on their established work schedule.
b) Ensure assembly / test personnel quality of work performed meets or exceeds minimum established standards.
c) Recommend rewards/ recognition and/or discipline action as required to Production Manager.
d) Provide input to the performance review process / involvement in new hire interviews.

4. Provide technical leadership and assistance.
a) Ensure assembly / test personnel under your control are certified to perform the tasks assigned. Provide for such training as required either through direct involvement or make arrangements for other resources to train.
b) Provide first level assistance in troubleshooting assembly / test problems.
c) Identify and make known to Production Manager and Process Engineer technical needs and improvement ideas for productivity / throughput, quality and yield.
d) Perform assembly for special jobs as required (shall not exceed 10% of scheduled work week).
e) Perform other related duties as assigned by the Production Manager or Operations Manager.

Experience Level:
Unspecified

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of E/M assembly experience.
2+ years of demonstrated supervisory or group lead background.
Solid communication skills.
Computer literacy.

Duration:
Contract to Direct

Pay Rate:
$15-$17 per hour
