Long-term contract assignment for a construction manager with strong commercial construction experience to work on various on-going projects within the 5 Boroughs of NY.
Description of Work:
Candidate will assist the Construction Manager on various projects and is expected to take the lead in coordination and general administrative efforts between CPM, Contractor, User Departments, and outside NYC & NYS agencies, in support of the project and the engineers; and in coordination of Labor, A&P, Flagging, Safety Work Plans and in efforts in maintaining records using the Constructware program.
•Field or Office locations, by percentage: Field-95%, Office-5%
•Right-of-Way access is required.
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, or Architecture and 5 year of full-time satisfactory experience related to project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating or expediting in supporting to engineering and/or projects
In addition to meeting the qualification requirements described above, candidates must have one or two additional years of experience as described above in a supervisory capacity or have served for at least two additional years as a project manager for a large and/or complex construction project.
Min of 5 years in Construction Management environment.
Special Skills/Training Requirements:
Familiarity with standard construction and operating procedures, scheduling A&P, training & flagging using Microsoft Office/Word/Excel, Constructware (preferred).
This requires 95% field and 5% office /administrative work.
