Overview:
6+ month W-2 contract assignment for an experienced website designer in Houston.
Responsibilities:
Contractor will take an existing proof of concept Public Cataloging application of the company?s ?GAPE? website and design a more user friendly, logical flow, interface and make it available online for the general public. The contractor will be required to deliver a weekly status that includes a story board and timeline.
The contractor will also make updates to the existing ?GAPE? website to include but is not limited to:
? Updates and upgrades, to be specified, to the Collections tabs of the GAPE website
? Creation of new tabs and modules on GAPE website
? Establish links to specified websites
? Test and verify that all functions and links of GAPE website are functional and/or still functioning efficiently
? Streamline existing search functions and if necessary create new search functions
? Create a ?Request-Tracking? interactive automated function on the GAPE website
? Requirements of ?Request-Tracking? will be provided
? Will include an external Wiki Page
The GAPE website uses HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PERL (for database queries) and uses a basic code. The candidate is required to supply a copy of their portfolio of design styles for the interview.

Requires a Bachelor's degree along with 5 plus years of web site design/development.
Must demonstrate experience with the required technologies.
Successful candidate must be a US Citizen and background check is also required.
