Job Description:
- POSITION REQUIRES 50-70% TRAVEL - NO RELOCATION REQUIRED CAN LIVE ANYWHERE IN US-
Perform inspections and set quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process and finished products
·Attend witness & hold point inspections as required by internal/external customer
·Assist Project Manager (PM) to ensure support documentation for and adherence to Quality Control Plans (QCPs) for each sub order
·Quickly & accurately report any problems & give the PM support & advice on how issues can be resolved without impact
·Present a detailed weekly report to the PM summarizing each days activities
·Participate in suppliers QA meetings & report back to PM· Participate in meetings with subcontractors to ensure product schedule is maintained & report back to PM
·Monitor progress (engineering documents, subcontractor orders, manufacturing schedules) against required project schedule focusing on critical path items
·Expedite vendor manufacturing & delivery performance in accordance with individual project schedule requirements
Experience Level:
5+ Years
Requirements:
BS MECHANICAL ENGINEERING or RELATED DEGREE field preferred. A 2yr technical degree with 10 years relative work experience may be substituted)
Must have background/experience with cooling towers and components
5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, construction, supervision & inspection
Demonstrated experience with mechanical systems and structures
Quality & inspection background with recognized code experience (ASME, AISC, etc.) to management level
Strong skills with Computer skill set MS Office Suites...MSWord, Excel Powerpoint, MS Project etc.
Scheduling & prioritizing own time so as to be efficient & meet project requirements
Self-starter, able to operate under own initiative
