Job Description:
Albin Engineering Services, Inc. (www.aesi.com) is looking for a Firmware Development Engineer for a full-time position with one of our premier wireless technology clients in the heart of Silicon Valley.
Job Summary:
The firmware engineer is responsible for developing the software required to control 0.5 to 6 GHz wireless test equipment. As part of the R&D group, you will be part of a team that develops leading edge wireless test equipment for connectivity and cellular markets. Though you'll be part of a team, you will also be working independently and setting your own priorities. The scope and complexity of your projects will be based on your existing knowledge and capabilities as well as how fast you can acquire new skills.
Job Description:
- Develops Windows or embedded firmware for the company's new products.
- Develops automated test scripts to exercise the firmware and hardware. These test scripts should be able to isolate problems in the design.
- Tracks and implements design improvements and version control.
- Develops design specifications, communicate and verify these specifications with the RF/logic designers, and implement these in a timely and highly quality manner. |

Requirements:
- 3 years Windows DDK experience
- 5 years experience developing embedded firmware in C/C++
- Experience with drivers for USB, Ethernet, PCI, etc.
- Experience with Visual Studio C/C++
- Experience with structured software development tools
- Experience with developing automatic software test benches
- Experience with Matlab operation and programming
- Strong individual contributor with a strong sense for quality of work
- Ability to understand how to properly control RF and logic circuit desired
