Job Description:
Our Client is a publicly traded company, they are a small organization where you will have exposure to the most senior managers within technology and the company. Their environment is entrepreneurial in nature, and we reward results, creativity, and initiative. We deliver four major releases a year which require occasional long hours and/or weekend hours; however, our employees often work from home when working these extended hours.
As an applications developer, you will work together with technologists and client-facing teams in the development of their trading platform. Your assignments may include work on new product offerings, system enhancements, system architecture, and bug fixes.
Position Requirements
Required technical skills:
? Excellent Java skills including Swing
? JMS
? Enterprise RDBMS (Oracle and/or Sybase)
? XML
? Extensive experience with high-speed, high-volume transactional systems.
? Good understanding of object-oriented design patterns
? Extensive experience in multi-threaded programming
? UNIX (Sun Solaris)
? NT
? TCP/IP
Preferred technical skills, not required:
? JFC
? JNI
? JDBC
Preferred attributes:
? Quantitative formal education (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
