Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assist Engineers by performing routine aspects of electrical engineering assignments. Perform electrical design calculations (i.e., 480/4160 VAC SLD, Motor Elementary, Conduit Schedules, Power Studies, etc.), controls and instrumentation design (i.e., PLC & DCS I/O card diagrams, Logic And SAMA diagrams, Instrument Specifications, etc.) sketches, technical comparisons and similar technical work. Coordinate project assignments with engineers and technicians in group. Review drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and engineers and recommend necessary changes. Research design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.
BACKGROUND REQUIRED:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
3-5 years of manufacturing facility and/or consulting engineering experience. Pulp and paper industry experience is a plus.
Must be able read P&ID's and identify items (equipment, valves, instruments, piping, etc.) in the field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
