REQUIRED SKILLS:
? Expert knowledge of AIX, IRIX and Solaris operating systems
? Knowledge of building a UNIX server or workstation given the COTS products and build template
? Unix Scripting development skills including PERL & PERL/Tk
? Familiarity with DDTS, DOORS, Clearcase, LDAP, and SNMP

SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
Systems Administrator responsible for ensuring all operations and maintenance resources in the contractor development/test facility are available to Depot SW and Test team members, and for supporting build/integration of new and reclaimed hardware resources to enhance the operations and maintenance resources. Candidate collaborates regularly with Systems, Software and Test Engineers in the maintenance of the contractor development/test facility such that the team can successfully field product baselines.
STANDARD JOB DESCRIPTION:
Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
