We are currently seeking a Mechanical Designer. The Mechanical Designer position must be comfortable working in a project and schedule driven environment with budget constraints. Individual must be familiar and experience with Solidworks and Autocad.
In this role, your primary duties will be:
? Develop conceptual designs and layouts.
? Develop drawings and written specifications detailing design, fabrication, handling, shipping and assembly details.
? Package work for, coordinate efforts of, and provide oversight to temporary designers or outside design companies.
? Develop and monitor schedules and budgets.
? Occasional travel to jobsites, customer offices and vendor shops.
? Develop procedures for the departmental management of Solidworks data on a network file server and with PDMWorks.
? Develop Solidworks use and practice standards for departmental distribution.
? Develop Solidworks templates, standard toolbox data, and master models.
