Job Description:
This position will assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of management reporting processes and packages to support executive and departmental decision making.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and develop Cognos system ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results and KPI?s to management.
- Assist Cognos Consulting team in transitioning to Cognos 8 upgrade.
- Develop reporting tools within the Cognos framework in response to management and divisional requests.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of reporting related to the annual budget, quarterly targets and forecasts and ongoing financial analysis and management reporting.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
SCOPE AND EFFECT
Position?s purpose is to manage financial reporting systems and processes of client in an efficient, effective and controlled manner. The incumbent's reliability and personal effectiveness contributes to the effective operation of the business and has a direct effect on the accuracy and reported financial results for client.

Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have extensive experience reporting financial and accounting data including experience with enterprise budgeting software. Cognos Experience is a necessity.
- Knowledge of Lawson 9.0 preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with management, peers and customers and deliver reporting from Cognos.
- Solid organizational/analytical skills required
- Must be self-motivated, have a strong team orientation, learn quickly and possess excellent interpersonal skills |
