Job Description:
Candidate will be responsible for working as a senior SharePoint developer on projects that will become part of the US Portal project initiative. Currently, the Enabling Services group is chartered with launching and expanding a US Portal running on a SharePoint 2007 platform. Development on this platform is providing excellent opportunities for new development.
A. Candidate will be responsible for designing and developing custom WebPart solutions that will reside on the US portal. The candidate should have extensive experience with technology design, including architecture, use case, technical design specifications, etc.
B. Candidate should have a broad background in ?Enterprise Level? development related projects and should have experience in deployment as well as enhancement and support projects.
C. Work on a team that is responsible for building enterprise solutions based on .Net and SharePoint technologies. This person will either be a track lead or a senior developer. In either case design and development is expected and will vary between 70 ? 100%.
D. Provide design, development, implementation, and support of software applications.
E. Work with the technical leads, business analysts, and project managers to translate design into product, including programming, testing, and implementation tasks.
F. Prepare and maintain related technical documentation.

Requirements:
? Currently working as a developer and spending more than 75% of time on hands on development activities.
? Candidate should have direct exposure to all project life cycle phases (define, design, develop, deploy, support) within the past 3 years.
? Strong expertise in the Microsoft Server family (W2K, W2003); Windows Technology and Applications (.NET, Active Directory, IIS, SharePoint, etc.)
? Preferable that candidate have experience with SharePoint Portal Server, WSS and SQL.
? In-depth knowledge in Windows Technology and Applications (Active Directory, IIS, etc.) and Microsoft Server family (W2K, W2003).
? Experience with developing Web Parts

Other Responsibilities
? Comprehensive understanding of application design from a practical perspective.
? Work with business analysts as well as use cases to implement best architecture approaches

Experience with any of the following A PLUS:
? Experience with ENTERPRISE PORTALS

Design Experience:
? Object Oriented Analysis & Design
? Design methodologies and modeling languages such as UML, ER modeling, process modeling (DFDs, BPEL4WS)
? Experience creating standards, templates, procedures, and policies for a shared development environment
? Experience presenting and advocating for design solutions

Software Engineering Background:
? At least five years experience as a developer responsible for the development of business applications using Object-Oriented methodologies and tools.

Technical Experienced Desired:
? Understanding of Network Architecture Components and Windows Operating System
? Experience with technologies supporting Web Services: XML, Soap, WSDL, UDDI etc
? Experience with .Net Framework and Tools: ASP.Net, C#, VB.
