Job Description:

Stable, financially successful 33 year old company  seeks highly motivated professional with proven record of success to help launch it’s newest division, which will provide rapidly deployable  facilities to private and government clients.

Located it the Seattle, Washington area,  this position will report to its President and will lead company efforts to develop sales and marketing strategies and personally lead their implementation.

Responsibilities

You will develop and execute a multi-million dollar business continuity/disaster recovery deployable facility product line throughout the United States. The focus will be to grow the new product line while overseeing client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.

- Responsible for building new client base, assisting the sales team with writing and presenting proposals and serving as the company’s subject matter expert.

- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of complex contingency planning/logistics/resource methodologies.

- Demonstrate top-notch project management skills and use current business continuity/emergency management/homeland security tools and techniques to enhance the success of deliverables and services for the client.

- Accurately assess how the company can deliver value to clients. Properly understand the client’s needs and determine what services best meet the client’s expectations.

- As the product line grows, responsible for establishing, managing and appraising project-related performance objectives for the sales and product delivery team.

- Report project status and financial reports to executive management on an as needed basis.

- Primary customer base consists of private sector business continuity and disaster recovery managers and government emergency management and homeland security officials. 

Requirements:

  • Min of 5 years experience and expertise in a technical, project management and/or diversified business continuity or government crisis preparedness role preferred.
  • Five years of sales or technical experience supporting delivery of disaster recovery related products or services to corporate and government customers. 
  • You must demonstrate an acceptable and relevant level of understanding and knowledge of BCM and/or IT DRP (IT Disaster Recovery Planning) and general knowledge of standards on Disaster/Emergency Management; SS 540: 2008; BS 25999; NFPA 1600 and HB292.

·        Government service, direct corporate or 3rd party consulting experience within business continuity services, emergency management or homeland security, the latter preferably with a BIG 5 firm or another large professional services consulting organization.

·        Min of 5 years management experience required.

·        One or more of the following: Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), BC Certified Planner (BCCP), BC Certified Specialist (BCCS), BC Certified Expert (BCCE), DR Certified Specialist (DRCS) and DR Certified Expert (DRCE) Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP)
