Incredible Opportunity to Join a Dynamic Global Leader in Advanced Materials supplied to the Aerospace Industry as a Research and Development Manager Excellent Opportunity for Career Advancement Outstanding Benefits and Relocation Package RESPONSIBILITIES · Lead a team of R&D scientists and engineers to provide timely and effective technical support to the carbon fiber business · Work closely with the R&D Director to develop technical strategy and successfully construct and implement projects and initiatives that are consistent with business goals · Drive the development of high level technical competencies for the development of new carbon fiber products and composite materials · Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to R&D team members · Demonstrate sound judgment in planning, organizing and resource allocation to technical projects · Work closely with the Company’s Product Development groups, external research collaborators and customers to enhance the Company’s global technology impact · Maintain current awareness of competitive products and technologies REQUIREMENTS · MS or PhD (preferred) in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Polymer Science or related field · Technical expertise in a material science field such as carbon fibers, composite materials or interfacial engineering · 8-10 years R&D experience, with demonstrated leadership/management skills and direct technical experience with carbon fibers or carbon fiber reinforced composites · Must have experience leading technical projects and/or cross-functional teams. · Self-motivated, with ability and desire to mentor/coach team members · Ability to prioritize and complete projects · Good understanding of cross functional collaboration · Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking
