Reference Number: Job Description: This acute care community hospital is located in the Zanesville, Ohio, area. Under the direct supervision of the VP of Medical Affairs, the Director of Pharmacy is responsible for directing, coordinating and controlling the operation of the Pharmacy Department. This position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with patient care quality standards; directing and controlling the purchase and inventory maintenance of all pharmaceuticals and related substances/supplies; directing and participating in the departments planning, revenue analysis, budgeting, education and human resource management activities. Education and Training: A graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy, having completed a five (5) year course and attained a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy. Advanced training in hospital and/or business management and clinical services. Experience: Five (5) years previous experience in a medical center pharmacy with courses in medical center pharmacy administration is preferred; two (2) of which should be in a supervisory capacity with a demonstrated leadership ability.
