Job Description: Job Description: Web E-Commerce Developer Information Analyst: This position supports the TennCare Healthcare Systems in Nashville, TN. This position includes the following responsibilities: * Maintain and support existing applications. * Troubleshoot Web based E-Commerce software applications. * Interact with development team members as well as users in the process of requirements definition and acceptance testing. * Determine specifications, then plan, design, and develop complex and business critical internet solutions. * Write and edit systems technical documentation. * Develop software application programs that utilizing Microsoft SQL Server and other database systems. * Follow and execute test control procedures as developed by the Project Leader. * Work independently to meet project milestones and committed deadlines.
The Information Analyst under general direction, conceptualizes, designs, constructs, tests, and implements portions of business and technical information technology solutions through application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology. Interacts with the customer to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context and organizational strategic direction. Defines scope, plans and deliverables for assigned projects. Collects, identifies, defines, and organizes detailed user and information technology requirements. Coordinates and collaborates with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations. Confirms and prioritizes project plans and deliverables with the customer. Participates in business and technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions. Understands and uses appropriate tools to analyze, identify and resolve business and/or technical problems. Applies metrics to monitor performance and measure key project criteria. Prepares system documentation. Establishes and maintains security, integrity and business continuity controls and documents. Participates in special studies, marketing efforts and formal proposals. Stays current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
Job Essential Functions: Web E-Commerce Developer Information Analyst must have the ability to perform the following essential functions: * Design, code, test, implement and validate business and technical information technology related programs. * Identify, analyze, and devise solutions to business and technical information technology problems. * Interact with customers regarding business and technical information technology needs. * Participate in implementations, upgrades, and conversion projects. * Participate on empowered, virtual teams. * Manage projects within scope of responsibility. * Work flexible hours.
Position Prerequisites: * Ten (10) years software development/programming experience with Microsoft platform toolsets. * Excellent knowledge of web-related programming and systems analysis procedures. * Five (5) years experience in developing internet applications. * Three (3) years experience in developing Web Services. * One (1) year experience with implementation of Services Oriented Architecture. * Experience in designing and implementing secure web sites using encryption and authentication technologies * Knowledge of current industry trends in development environments, tools, web usability, security, etc. * Proven experience with architecture and development of multi-tier distributed applications. * Three (3) years experience as a professional web/software developer with the following skills: o Microsoft ASP.Net, C# .Net and VB.Net development. o HTML, ASP and Java Script o Adobe Flash ActionScript 3.0 a plus o Microsoft SQL Server Database o Ability to program in Microsoft Visual Basic, VB.NET, ASP.NET * Experience in Health industry EDI protocols, such as HL7 and XML a plus * Good understanding of networks and establishing connections with remote servers. * Solid understanding of SQL and database architecture and relational database. * Experienced with Microsoft Windows environment (Unix, Linux experience a plus) * Proven experience working independently to meet deadlines. * Strong verbal and written English Language communication skills. * Successful in using interpersonal skills working with clients, customers and users. * Excellent organizational skills. * Experience working successfully in a team environment.
