Reference Number: Job Description: Software Engineer RD (PTC) We have a position available in the RD Software Engineering Group in the Jacksonville, FL and Kansas City, MO office for several Software Engineers. The Software Engineer performs embedded software engineering, including developing new products, sustaining and support for Safetran’s non-vital product line. They coordinate with software architect, team lead and other groups in RD and or Safetran, such as testing, hardware, manufacturing, to ensure that the delivered good quality of products A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or closely related software engineering degree or equivalent industry expertise with at least five years experience developing embedded software and developing Linux based embedded software. Strong programming skills and experience developing TCP(UDP)/IP protocol stack or experience developing the device driver or Linux Kernel development is a must. Excellent written and oral communication skills for gathering and documenting system and software requirements for both function and design, and the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations is also required Experience Level: Requirements: | |
