Job Description: Description: Northrop Grummans Cyber and SIGINT Systems in Sacramento, California is seeking a Chief Engineer interested in supporting future development and enhancement of a complex, software-intensive, signal processing system. The successful candidate will join a top performing, multi-discipline team working on a program critical to national security. We are seeking a Chief Engineer for the Airborne ISR Business Area to support the SIGINT IPT of the Aerial Common Sensor Program. Initially, the candidate will perform as the chief engineer for the ACS Capture Team, In this role the candidate will be responsible for leading the ACS technical team through initial design, proposal and program execution, the overall ACS SIGINT architectural approach and related documentation, oversee the entire ACS technical effort, interface with subcontractors to determine optimum technical approaches to meet program requirements, lead and validate technical trades and analysis as required, over sight of ACS related IRAD and demonstrations, technical expertise to the overall ACS sector program team, definition of interfaces and working relationships with the other IPTs on the program, future technology upgrade roadmaps for the ACS program. In addition, while supporting the ACS Capture, the candidate will be required to learn and fully understand the details of the GR Modernization Program and the ASIP Product Line technology. The following are the Basic Qualifications for this position: 15 years experience directly related to this position. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineer with advanced coursework and understanding with a focus on signal processing. Extensive hands-on experience and understanding of modern digital hardware design, software architectures, RF hardware design, Antenna Design and Performance principals, FPGA design, signal processing theory, knowledge of EA, knowledge of instrumentation (related to monitoring of system equipment performance and health and maintenance),object oriented software programming, and structured systems engineering practices. At least ten years directly interfacing with DoD customers and executive management teams as the chief systems engineer on similar signal processing and integration programs. Experience in managing and directing technical staff in order to meet performance objectives on time critical programs. Applicant must have a current active Top Secret SSBI clearance.
