Ensure the appropriate leverage required to support operations and the attainment of corn milling business units/product line strategic objectives. Lead, facilitate, monitor and communicate strategic supplier performance. Develop supply chain strategies based on market intelligence. Manage supplier relationships, including formal documented corrective action allowed by legal agreements. Identification and minimization of supply chain risk. Principal Accountabilities: 50% - Develop strategy and execute business unit level negotiations for critical category requirements, including supplier diversity strategy. Approximately $100MM in spend responsibilities. 15% - Participate on corporate procurement and global initiatives related to category. 10% - Be an expert of critical markets and impact to P&L. Manage risk in prices from energy, fuel, product shortages, global impacts, etc. 10% - Facilitate, monitor, communicate, and recognize supplier performance for category. Manage supplier performance metrics and other business requirements. 10% - Coordinate the approval and legal review of all supply and service agreements for category. 5% - Serve as procurement liaison for operations, including total cost of ownership analysis, and supplier selection for category. Required: - Four year college degree in related field
- Five years professional experience in procurement or contract administration
- Three years negotiation and contracting experience
- Three years supervisory experience
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including engineers, plant operation people, finance, and senior management
- Demonstrated ability to leverage purchasing opportunities across a large and complex organization
- Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently
- Demonstrated curiosity to learn and improve processes
