Job Description:
The Advisory Board Company (NASDAQ: ABCO), a professional and technology services firm serving 2,700 of the country’s preeminent hospitals and healthcare systems, is rapidly expanding its portfolio of technology solutions to provide hospitals with clearer insight into their financial, operational and clinical businesses. Through Advisory Board Compass Solutions, we aim to empower hospitals to achieve business performance goals through faster, data-driven decision-making.  We currently offer tools covering a variety of content areas including revenue cycle management, surgery, supply chain management, nursing, quality, and physician performance.

Our current opportunity is on our Austin, Texas-based Crimson team.  The Crimson Initiative, founded in 2003 and acquired by the Advisory Board Company in May 2008, is the firm’s fastest growing Business Intelligence membership program. The Crimson tool is an ASP that provides Physician Management software to Hospitals, merging a Web-based physician profiling tool while combining the Advisory Board’s best-practice knowledge and support for engaging physicians in performance improvement. The data analysis platform generates detailed physician profiles that encompass quality performance, adherence to pre-defined order sets and resource utilization. Designed to work with a hospital’s existing data, the software automatically creates visually compelling profiles for all physicians, departments and groups at the facility, compares performance levels to severity-adjusted peers and measures compliance to the organizations goals and best practices. Over the past year, the membership program has grown to more than 200 member organizations, ranging from stand-alone hospitals to large healthcare systems. By allowing medical executives and physicians to drill down into performance data, members in their initial efforts have rapidly achieved several hundred thousand dollars in cost savings or improved reimbursements.

The Manager-Implementation Services will be responsible for managing the most top-tier, high-profile clients, in addition to leading members of the Business Analyst team, while working closely with the Crimson leadership team on operational and strategic issues.  In this leadership capacity, the Director will adopt and refine our new implementation processes and will be responsible for providing thought leadership to the team and mentoring Business Analysts.

•    Provide constructive formal and informal feedback to team members as necessary
•    Set team goals and define roles clearly through workload management and delegation
•    Include staff in decision-making process and empower staff to make decisions independently
