Reference Number: Job Description: Title: Leadership Development Specialist The individual selected for this position will report to the Manager, Learning & Development and have primary accountability for designing, developing, and delivering leadership development programs for Meijer. This position will be located in Grand Rapids, MI or one of the regional offices. Travel required - up to 50% within the Meijer markets. This position requires variable shift coverage to meet business needs. Leadership development content areas include: Coaching, Performance Management, HR Policies and Practices, Leading Change, Situational Leadership, and Business Acumen. Essential functions include: Partnering and working collaboratively with division, regional and store leadership to develop and execute leadership development plans; Ensuring the cost-effective design, sharing, implementation, evaluation and continual improvement of Leadership Development solutions and best practices that meet identified needs and objectives; focusing all efforts on improving performance outcomes and business results using a systems approach; and making effective financial and operational decisions that positively impact business outcomes and opportunities for competitive advantage.
