Reference Number: lddr1986652 Job Description: Title:  Leadership Development Specialist Location:  Meijer Headquarters - Grand Rapids, MI   The individual selected for this position will report to the Manager, Learning & Development and have primary accountability for designing, developing, and delivering leadership development programs for Meijer.   This position will be located in Grand Rapids, MI or one of the regional offices. Travel required - up to 50% within the Meijer markets.  This position requires variable shift coverage to meet business needs.   Leadership development content areas include: Coaching, Performance Management, HR Policies and Practices, Leading Change, Situational Leadership, and Business Acumen.    Essential functions include: Partnering and working collaboratively with division, regional and store leadership to develop and execute leadership development plans; Ensuring the cost-effective design, sharing, implementation, evaluation and continual improvement of Leadership Development solutions and best practices that meet identified needs and objectives; focusing all efforts on improving performance outcomes and business results using a systems approach; and making effective financial and operational decisions that positively impact business outcomes and opportunities for competitive advantage.   This position allows many opportunities in the following job facets: Achievement, Relationship Building, Challenging Work, High Involvement, Complexity, Continuous Learning, High Responsibility/Accountability, Interpersonal Support, Task Variety.    Learning & Development organizational facets include: Continuous Improvement, Customer Focus, Environmental Sensitivity, and Resource Consciousness.   The individual selected for this position should possess the following skills, knowledge and abilities:   *  Bachelors degree in a training, human resources development, or learning-related discipline with 4 years experience (required) *  Masters degree with 5 years experience in leadership development training and at least 2 years people manager experience (preferred) We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience and a successful track record in the following: *  Using an interactive process to help individuals and organizations develop more rapidly and produce more satisfying results *  Improving others ability to set goals, make better decisions, and make use of their natural strengths *  Delivering learning solutions that produce desired outcomes *  Managing diverse learner needs *  Analyzing and selecting appropriate methodologies to maximize impact of learning experiences *  Leading, managing, and facilitating change; Applying a systematic process of analyzing performance gaps and planning for performance improvements *  Gathering data to demonstrate the impact of learning and performance solutions *  Ensuring that leaders have the right skills to meet the strategic challenges *  Assuring alignment of career planning and talent management processes to achieve an optimal match between individual and organizational needs *  Promoting individual growth and organizational renewal *  Fluency in oral and written English required Experience Level: Unspecified Requirements:
