Job Description: Web Application Developer/Software Engineer, Web Services (09-0058) Delivering "Web 2.0" and more!" OMNITEC Solutions (http://www.omnitecinc.com) is the recognized leader in providing web based solutions to the Public Affairs operations for much of the DOD, a position further supported via our recent $37 million, four and one/half year contract with the Defense Media Activity (DMA) to provide software development, new media integration, maintenance and management support for Department of Defense public-facing websites. From the design (NOTE: If you have a TS or TS+ clearance, we can hold it) Minimum Requirements: - Strong, demonstrable knowledge of the Microsoft .Net Web development platform (2.0 minimum, 3.5 preferred). ASP.Net via C#, LINQ, VB.Net; - Fundamental understanding of Object Oriented Programming with coding methodologies such as Design Patterns a plus; - Strong, demonstrable understanding of programmatic data-access to SQL Server, including insert/update/delete/list of data; - Full System Lifecycle Development experience. Programmers are expected to be able to communicate well with the client and end-user, and are required to take ownership of both inherited and new code; - Preference for Knowledge of XML/RSS and serialized data format; - Preference for developers with demonstrable understanding of PHP, Flash/Flex, HTML, CSS; - Preference for developers with experience leading projects of any size.
