Job Description:
Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: NY-Rochester
Primary Responsibilities:
Designs complex new/modified products/systems in response to contract related submissions or R&D activities with limited direction.
Defines specifications for new or modified products/systems in area of specialization to meet contract requirements.
Investigates, troubleshoots, and provides recommendations in resolving complex, unique or major problems.
Provides technical leadership to individuals or teams in resolving problems as defined above.
Contributes to schedule, budget and product/system specification input as required including for tenders and change orders.
Provides input for cross-functional teams at project schedules.
Independently applies expertise to meet customer requirements including the design of complex new/modified products/systems.
Defines specifications for new or modified products/systems in area of specialization.
Performs responsibilities with limited direction from the manager.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years of related engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (i.e. scopes and meters)
- Knowledge of MS Office Software
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong analytical skills and objectivity
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
