Job Description:
Title: Sr. Engineer
Location: NY-Rochester
Primary Responsibilities:
Independently designs complex new/modified products/systems in response to contract related submissions or R&D activities.
Defines specifications for new or modified products/systems in area of specialization to meet contract requirements.
Investigates, troubleshoots, and provides recommendations in resolving complex, unique or major problems.
Provides technical leadership to individuals or teams in resolving problems as defined above.
Contributes to schedule, budget and product/system specification input as required including for tenders and change orders.
Provides input for cross-functional teams at project schedules.
Independently applies expertise to meet customer requirements including the design of complex new/modified products/systems.
Defines specifications for new or modified products/systems in area of specialization.
Performs responsibilities with limited direction from the manager.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of related engineering experience
- Knowledge of MS Office Software
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
- Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering
- Embedded hardware / software application experience or training
- Formal DSP training or experience preferably using ADI BlackFin devices
- Formal digital filter design training or experience
- Experience with Class D amplifiers.
