Job Description:
System level design and implementation of current and future Developmental and Operational Test & Evaluation, Training, and Exercise Environments.
* Perform technical review of customer operational, test, and training event requirements and translate to derived data network environment requirements
* Provide recommendation on environment approach and/or alternatives for design and implementation of specified requirements
* Develop Planning documents detailing environment build requirements
* Design developmental and operational data network environments
* Lead data network environment implementation providing direction to technical support resources
* Conduct validation of built environments
* Provide technical advisory and assistance support to government sponsors
* Evaluate current data network environment capabilities, assess limitations, evaluate future trends and provide enhancements to customer environments and instrumentation
* Follow standard and customer engineering practices for maintaining documentation to include logical and physical drawings
* Support troubleshooting and resolution of data network problems
Required
5+yrs with BS or 2+yrs with MS or 0 yrs with PhD
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, mathematics, or engineering or a mathematics-intensive discipline.
- Five years experience designing, installing, evaluating and managing computer and data network environments.
- Independent working knowledge of the following: routers, switches, hubs, mail and web servers, Intrusion Detection Systems, Firewalls, Anti-virus tools, Network Protocol Analyzers, and Traffic Generation.
- Experience related to computer security as it relates to defense of networks
- Must have effective writing skills
