What Applications Design & Develop contributes to Cardinal Health
Applications Design and Development is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting applications, systems and IT products required to enable Cardinal's business objectives.

* Requires advanced knowledge of organization stated technology standards, procedures and methods.
* Translates and interprets functional requirements documentation for large projects.
* Designs and develops complex solutions for the organization's core applications/interfacing systems utilizing knowledge of architectural roadmap/blueprint for application area.
* Performs system/applications integrations.

* Uses deep subject matter/functional expertise, influence and process skills to help internal/external customers and stakeholders identify and meet their high priority needs while considering cultural and diversity implications.

* Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices;
* Performs assessments and listens to internal/external customers to understand and anticipate their needs and determine their priorities in the context of the overall enterprise.
Accountabilities in this role
* Work with the Warehouse Management & Logistics team to identify, define and document data requirements (functional and non-functional) supporting the Medical Business Transformation program
* Plan and lead all Data Management activities for the Warehouse Management & Logistics business process as part of a multi-year SAP enabled business transformation for Cardinal Health's medical businesses
* Provide guidance and performance feedback for team members both direct and matrixed
* Establish and lead efforts for the Data Conversion Strategy for all required data objects in the business process
* Responsible for building a data catalog of all applicable data objects and attributes for both the legacy and future state solution by performing data profiling, data analysis and data mapping
* Identify strengths/weakness and opportunities for data improvement
* Collaborate with the data steward and information governance organizations to establish processes and governance around data and to ensure that data will be compliant to defined standard
* Responsible for documenting all PDD's (process definition document) or BPP's (business process procedures) for the processes to create, reuse, update and de-activate/delete (CRUD)
* Work with the Core Implementation and Extended teams to analyze the data to be migrated and/or integrated and create the data integrity, data translation, and data cleansing rules that will be applied during the migration and integration process
* Work with Solution Integration Partner to implement tools and processes that enables data conversion and cleansing from legacy applications to occur early and often in the program
* Provide support to the training team with respect to training materials around the applicable data object processes
* Support the definition and alignment of master data domain ob
