Software Security Architect - (28525) Requisition Number: 28525 Location: VA, Arlington Job Description: Ceridian is seeking a Security Architect for our LifeWorks Military organization. As the successful candidate for this position you will support the military program in developing and implementing a secure architecture. Responsibilities include providing managing and/or developing security artifacts for program applications and/or supporting systems Certification and Accreditation (C&A) (e.g., System Security Plans, Contingency Plans, Risk Assessments). This position requires excellent and proven attention to details, process and discipline for production environment IT Operations and a willingness to work in a complex and dynamic environment. It requires the commitment to completing the job on time with quality results. A commitment to overall job success and task ownership utilizing and delegating to both internal and external entities is required Job Responsibilities: * Leads the design of the application security architecture. Coordinates technical design/review activities with various groups including application development, enterprise architecture, information security, systems, network, and database groups to develop secure frameworks and enterprise applications * Designs the enterprise security infrastructure and architectural topology including recommending hardware, operating system, software, and information security requirements to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and privacy of information systems. Ensure consistency and sufficient integration with existing infrastructure * Monitors, evaluates, and ensures procedures to safeguard internal information systems and databases from unauthorized users * Researches, recommends and implements changes to procedures and systems to enhance security * Creates incident response plans, including coordination with appropriate departments, other business units, and appropriate authorities * Disaster recovery and continuity of operations Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience) and 10+ years professional IT experience including 3-5 years of Information Assurance (IA) experience * Knowledge of DITSCAP/DIACAP security requirements * CISSP certification required * Knowledge of Federal Regulations and guidelines, Department of Defense policies, and Industry Security Best practices (a plus) * Experience using software tools to identify and test key security control points in the organization's network infrastructure * Knowledge of technical writing and project management (specifically Security Certification and Accreditation documentation) * Experience working with current and emerging information security technologies and development methodologies * Experience working with UNIX, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems * Experience working with proprietary software and hardware * Strong oral and written communications skills * Ability to maintain good working relationships with team, users, management, vendors and other officials * Strong interpersonal skills * Strong understanding of change management principles and processes * Ability to effectively negotiate and facilitate problem resolution from internal/external groups * Ability to provide technical information to non-technical customers * Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and as a member of a team * Due to the government contract all candidates must be a US Citizen and either have or be able to pass a security certification clearance
