Senior Video Network Engineer Reference Title HR Use Only: Hospital: Cleveland Clinic Main Campus & Family Health Centers Facility: Cleveland Clinic Foundation (Main Campus) Department: ITD TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES Job Code: T37035 Schedule: Full Time Shift: Days + Call Hours: 8AM - 5PM Job Details: * GENERAL SUMMARY: Supervises, organizes, and plans the activities of the Enterprise Video Network within CCHS ITD organization. Sets tactical direction for distributed video systems and advises Executive Management on the strategy for video systems. This includes design, development, implementation, modification, planning, estimation, feasibility testing and evaluation of automated video systems. Position is responsible for the overall maintenance and support of the enterprise's video network infrastructure environment. Coaching and ongoing review of video technical engineers' performance, while supporting the continuous process of optimizing enterprise video resources is required. Maintains the ongoing customer service relationships between the ITD video department and it's direct customers, including CCHS Senior Executive Management. This would include; 1) Enterprise Video Systems, 2) New building construction, 3) WAN video connections and performance monitoring, 4) All enterprise locations video network environments. Individual will provide best solutions to identified video needs, meeting operations and business objectives, technology capabilities, and human resource requirements, while establishing department policy & procedures. The Senior Video Network Engineer is responsible for proper documentation and Disaster Recovery of the video infrastructure environment. From time to time other duties may be assigned as requires, and will provide after hours support as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science related field and at least three years in video systems implementation experience, including supervising, planning, and scheduling of activates for a video-broadband department. Required Length and Type of Experience * Seven years experience in information systems, with at least four years experience in the principles, practices, methods, terminology, and trends in video conferencing, video streaming and broadband cable TV techniques and products may substitute for the above. This would include video and audio equipment operation and maintenance procedures and understanding the basics of IP video networking. * Four years experience in designing, implementing, and supporting video and broadband network operating environments. * Strong analytical, administrative, technical presentation and communication (both verbal and written) skills are required. * Polycom Video Engineer Certification is a plus. Required Physical and Environmental Demands * Typical physical demands include a high degree of dexterity to respond to the demands of producing video programming. * This may include moving, unbox, rebox video network equipment and peripherals (approximately 40lbs) via the use of two-wheel carts or dollies.
