Job Description:
Title: Electrical Engineer 4
Location: MD-Columbia
Performs a variety of engineering work in planning and design of facilities and utility systems. Primary emphasis is on engineering analysis and design of Electrical Power systems including Power Transmission and Generation, Lighting, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Fire Alarm, and 3 Phase Power Distribution Systems. Oversees construction and installation of Electrical Power systems. Works closely with other engineering disciplines in the development and application of facility construction documents and commissioning of systems. Applies knowledge of codes (NEC) and standards in developing designs that consider life cycle costs, constructability, and maintainability. Coordinates with other disciplines in solving technical problems, constructing facilities, gathering information, formulating plans, designs, cost estimates and specifications.
One position available. No relocation is available for this position.
BS degree in engineering or applied science with at least 8 years of related experience. In lieu of formal education, 16 years of directly related work experience.
PE registration or Engineer in Training (EIT), and proficiency in CAD is highly desirable.
