Job Description:
Title: Senior Accountant I/II at Lyondell
Location: TX-Houston
Responsibilities include monthly journal entries, account analysis, preparation of account reconciliations and supplemental data reports, cash flow rollforwards, and debt footnote disclosures. Must gain a comprehensive knowledge of the debt covenant agreements. Must be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with individuals in other departments and for providing leadership on teams and various project assignments. Must be highly self-sufficient and knowledgeable to make decisions and serve as a resource for other accountants. Overtime is required during various times of the month / year.

Bachelors degree with a major in accounting or finance is required. Advanced degree is a plus. Must have working knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Position requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in financial or manufacturing accounting. Must be well organized, able to prioritize and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement and ensure achievement of Company goals. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are essential. Working knowledge of SAP, Hyperion and Microsoft office is preferred. Should demonstrate the core competencies at the Senior I/II Accountant level.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident).
