The strength to heal our nation's defenders. ACTIVE ENDODONTIST As an endodontist and Officer on the U.S. Army Health Care Team, your focus will be on the care of Soldiers and their Families. Working as part of a team of dedicated professionals, you'll have opportunities to use the latest technology to provide treatment to those in need. Benefits include: - A $75,000 Health Professions Bonus - Active Duty Health Professions Loan Repayment of up to $120,000 over three years; may be applied toward qualified dental school loans - Variable Specialty Pay of $3,000 to $12,000 annually, based on your length of service - Board Certified Pay of $2,500 to $6,000 annually for board-certified dentists - Dental Additional Special Pay of $4,000 to $15,000, based on creditable service - Dental Officer Multiyear Retention Bonus of $13,000 to $50,000 annually, based on specialty and length of contract - Paid continuing education, including clinical specialization and residencies - 30 days of paid vacation earned annually - Non-contributory retirement benefits with 20 years of qualifying service - No-cost or low-cost medical and dental care for you and your Family - Commissary and post exchange shopping privileges - Flexible, portable retirement savings and investment plan similar to a 401(k) - Privileges that come with being an Officer in the U.S. Army - Training to become a leader in your field Requirements include: - Doctorate from an ADA-accredited dental school in the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or Canada - Completion of an ADA-accredited Advanced Specialty Education Program in endodontics - Between 21 and 42 years of age (health care professionals ages 43 to 60 are now eligible for a two-year service contract under the OAPP program) - License to practice dentistry - U.S. citizenship RESERVE ENDODONTIST As an endodontist and Officer on the U.S. Army Reserve Health Care Team, you'll practice in your community and serve when needed. In addition, you can train and develop advanced dental skills that will enhance the work you do every day. You'll find the greatest reward of your service in the smiles of Soldiers and their Families. Benefits include: - Health Professional Loan Repayment (HPLR) of up to $50,000 over three years; may be applied toward qualified dental school loans - Paid continuing education, including clinical specialization and residencies - Non-contributory retirement benefits at age 60 with 20 years of qualifying service - Low-cost life and dental insurance - Travel opportunities, including humanitarian missions - Commissary and post exchange shopping privileges - Flexible, portable retirement savings and investment plan similar to a 401(k) - Privileges that come with being an Officer in the U.S. Army - Training to become a leader in your field Requirements include: - Doctorate from an ADA-accredited dental school in the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or Canada - Completion of an Advanced Specialty Education Program in endodontics that is accredited by the American Dental Association and acceptable to the Surgeon General - Between 21 and 42 years of age (health care professionals ages 43 to 60 are now eligible for a two-year service contract under the OAPP program) - License to practice dentistry - Permanent U.S. residency Numerous positions are available worldwide.
