Position Description:
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to provide technical and supervisory support to OnMedia field personnel in addition to providing support and maintenance within the organization s networking, computing and ad insertion environment. This includes handling escalations as well as the daily activity of installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all network, PC hardware and ad insertion equipment to ensure optimal performance. Position is listed for Des Moines, IA, but flexible to other Midwest locations.
Specific responsibilities assigned to this position include, but are not limited to:
o Monitors and performs technical work in all areas of ad insertion, streaming video, video encoding and distribution of videos.
o Troubleshoots and reports technical problems in a timely manner. Repairs all programming and insertion equipment as necessary.
o Monitors and reports equipment performance. Maintains appropriate technical records and logs as necessary for company compliance.
o Assist with expense and capital budgets for the technical department
o Have a working knowledge of Production editing equipment.
o Troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.
o Provides guidance, coordinates and directs the quality and proficiency of the technical department.
o Trains, instructs and orients employees in proper procedures, operations and methods.
o Serves as IS liaison between OnMedia and the corporate technical support center and vendors.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Electronics or equivalent. One to three years related engineering/ technical experience. Strong level of computer knowledge and literacy. Proven analytical problem solving abilities. Ability to lift equipment and to operate and repair all related equipment. Must have and maintain a valid driver s license with a satisfactory driving record. Ability to perform all the duties and responsibilities as described.
