Job Description:
SUMMARY: This position is part of a R&D team that is responsible for the development and improvement of MOCVD epitaxial growth for III-Nitride LED products. The successful candidate will be a resourceful, hands-on, problem solver with the capacity to quickly grasp and resolve a wide range of technical challenges. The person should thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented atmosphere and be capable and willing to work in a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians. This position is open to entry-level applicants. RESPONSIBILITIES: Support a team of scientists and engineers through ownership of process and equipment aspects of MOCVD growth Provide contributions to process improvement through scheduling of runs, tracking process parameters, and troubleshooting process and equipment problems Analysis of parametric data and preparation of summaries (both written and verbal) for distribution internally to the R&D team and also for broader distribution to production teams Ownership of projects related to process development; these projects may involve working directly with production manufacturing teams Be the technical lead for the R&D team during 2nd shift Support 24x7 R&D operations, including off-shift response as necessary
